15 February, 2023 / Alex Wilbrink

High Tech seems to have ended up in 'Perfect Storm'...
In the High Tech industry, extremely high quality requirements apply. In addition, the supply pressures on the High Tech sector remains high. High tech products, low tech processes...

18 November, 2022 / Alex Wilbrink

In the southern and eastern regions of the Netherlands there are a lot of high tech companies. What is happening here in the Netherlands is viewed with admiration elsewhere in the world. At the Precision Fair this week in Den Bosch, The Netherlands you could see this with your own eyes: great innovative companies that present their high tech achievements. The ASML momentum is of course one of the main driving forces behind this. But ASML would not be able to deliver their unbeatable EUV lithography systems without the highly innovative suppliers they have committed to themselves.

However, there is also a phrase going around in the industry: high tech products, but low tech processes. 19 August, 2022 / Alex Wilbrink

How data is used to optimize your production process

The digitization of the manufacturing industry seems to be getting off to a good start. Manufacturing companies understand the urgency to modernize more and more. Terms such as Industry 4.0, AI, AR, IoT, and IIoT are part of everyday conversations. The majority of the industry realizes that the digital transformation of a company allows you to differentiate yourself from the competition. Why you can no longer ignore microservices as a CIO

19 August, 2022 / Alex Wilbrink

Microservices — Why do so many software companies choose this architecture?

We know Amazon as one of the largest webshops in the world. Yet a significant part of their revenue comes from operating so-called micro-services. The overwhelming amount of publications regarding this topic is convincing. An excited colleague started thinking about redesigning his core application with Amazon microservices. About two years later, he changed his mind. The micro-services architecture took much more time and, according to him, was certainly not an ideal choice for integrated Enterprise apps.
